This is a large website which offers a huge amount of information on the basics of diabetes, living with the disease and diet and fitness advice; as well as an explanation of other conditions like Metabolic Syndrome. The NDEP is a federal government sponsored initiative, a partnership between the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Its aim is to improve treatments and to prevent long-term diabetes complications by raising awareness among diabetics. It also aims to promote early diabetes diagnosis and to prevent the onset of diabetes in those diagnosed with prediabetes. The site has an excellent search tool where you can search for publications according to your age group and diabetes status (for example: prediabetes, full-blown diabetes or don't know).
