ABDOMINAL HYSTERECTOMY

LAVH PROCEDURE

Laparoscopically Assisted Vaginal Hysterectomy (LAVH). The laparoscope inserted through the tummy lights the area, so that the surgeon can see more clearly. The womb is then removed as normal through the vagina.

ROBOT ASSISTED HYSTERECTOMY

Robot assisted hysterectomy (da Vinci surgery). The doctor sits at a computer desk to control the surgery and a robot carries out the procedure.
