Breasts usually starts to get bigger early in the second trimester of pregnancy, but they may start to as early as week 6. On average most women grow a cup size during a full term pregnancy, especially with the first child. |

HEMORRHOIDS A mild medical condition, hemorrhoids are clusters of dilated or swollen veins located around the anal area. Also called piles, hemorrhoids are a form of varicose veins. Common sign is an itchy bottom and bright red blood appearing on the toilet paper after you wipe yourself. |

STRETCH MARKS Stretch marks are pink, reddish and brown lines that appear on the skin after it is stretched. Marks most commonly occur during pregnancy, puberty or after gaining large amounts of weight. In pregnant women, stretch marks can appear in the third trimester of pregnancy, on the breasts, abdomen, thighs and buttocks. |
At least half of all pregnant women develop stretch marks. Although you may not be able to prevent stretch marks, you may be able to minimize the effects by keeping control of your weight gain and staying within doctor guidelines. |
VARICOSE VEINS |
Varicose veins are enlarged twisted or swollen veins. They tend to appear near the surface of the skin, looking blue or purple and slightly bulged. Most commonly they appear on the legs, inner calves or ankles. During pregnancy, they can also appear on the tummy as well as in vulva and groin area. |
PUPPs is the name for an itchy rash that sometimes appears in pregnancy. Up to 1 percent of pregnant women develop it, and while uncomfortable, it is quite harmless. It usually begins in the third trimester of pregnancy (around week 35) and can last up to 2 weeks after childbirth. |
