3-Week Yeast Infection Diet Plan: Guidelines
If you are suffering a yeast infection it is worth considering eliminating sugar and yeast from your diet for about 3 weeks. These two ingredients appear to promote the growth of Candida and omitting them will allow your body to heal faster. While this may be difficult to begin with, hopefully you will soon start to feel so much better; that the results will justify the efforts. After 3 weeks you can gradually start to reintroduce your favorite foods and note the results. If symptoms of yeast infections return, you have established which are your personal trigger foods and can work on avoiding or reducing them in the future.

Nuts & Seeds Nuts and seeds are an excellent source of essential fatty acids, protein, vitamin E and minerals. Although they are high in calories, they are low on the GI scale which means they keep us feeling full for longer. Ideally purchase nuts still in their shells as the shells protect the nuts from radical damage caused by light and air. If you buy nuts unshelled keep them stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Include 3 servings of seeds and 3 servings of nuts a day in your diet. The following is a list of options with their individual serving size: Almonds: 8 Meat, Eggs, Fish It is possible follow this diet as a vegetarian or vegan, but meat, fish and eggs do provide important nutrients, in particular vitamin B12, amino acids and iron. You will need to take a good multi-vitamin with iron if you want to avoid this food group. Use meat, fish and eggs in small amounts, as a 'taster' to a main meal, rather than the main event. Include 1 serving a day of: Beef: 4oz Fruits In severe cases, where a person suffers chronic candidiasis, total exclusion of fruit is recommended for the duration of the 3 weeks of the diet.
